She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Parks Gougan and Joseph Curtis Jernigan; and her siblings, Cynthia Williams and William Jernigan. She is survived by: her husband Alton "Al" Acree; her daughter Tina Acree of Scotland Neck; her sisters, Leona Watson of Elm City and Becky Grimes (Billy) of Scotland Neck; and her close friends, Linda and Eddie Johnson of Scotland Neck. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Letchworth Chapel (101 W 7th St, Scotland Neck, NC 27874). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunnyside Cemetery (4764 US-258, Scotland Neck, NC 27874).
