It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frederick Herring of Selma, North Carolina, who passed away on March 13, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Herring and Gaynelle Batten Herring; and his brother Bobby Ray Herring. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Smith Herring; his children, Beverly Herring of Selma and Ricky Herring of Morehead City; his siblings, Lavon Herring (Betty Lou) of Goldsboro and Iris Sullivan (Gene) of Pine Level; and his adoptive son John Reid (Rita) of Selma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
