He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Preston and Bessie Parrish Thompson; his siblings, Edward Preston Thompson and Helen Thompson Edgerton; his grandfather J. A.; his wife Sylvia Thompson; his sons, James E. Thompson (Kelly) of Pine Bluff, AK, Roger L. Thompson (Cheryl) of Smithfield and Jeffery N. Thompson (Tanya) of Smithfield; and his grandchildren, Sally Thompson, Jamie Narron (Steve), Neal Thompson (Jessica), Ashley Beasley (Joe), Wesley Thompson (Amanda), Jennifer Throneberry (Jason), Theresa Tidwell (Jason) and Robert Ratola. He was also cherished by fifteen great grandchildren.
