She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Hudson and Clyda Dunn Hudson; her husband Luther Pilkington; her grandson Steve Pilkington; and her siblings, Gertrude Howell, Vergie DeLoach and Lee Edward Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Pilkington (Georgia) of Smithfield, Tom Pilkington (Gay) of Raeford, Charles Pilkington (Denise) of Clayton and Jane Batten of Wendell; her siblings, Leon Hudson of Smithfield and Hilda Palmer of Waynesville; and her grandchildren, Greg Pilkington, Jonathan Pilkington, Aaron Pilkington, Byron Pilkington, Jordana Burchett and Donna Woodard Batten. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
