John Carroll Brinkley Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Carroll Brinkley of Corapeake, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on June 9, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Channan Parrish Brinkley and Eunice Brinkley; his siblings, Joyce Hope White (Forrest), Mary Belle Perry (Bill), Nell Ann Ward and C. P. Brinkley Jr. (Hyla); his nephew Channan Brinkley III; his former wife Carol Warrington Brinkley; and also Anita Brinkley.
He is survived by: his daughter Janelle Brinkley; his nieces, Mabel Howell, Brenda Toppin (E. C.), Jeanie Pearce (Kyle), Faye Babb, Vonda Chappell, Julia Talton (John) and Kathy Outland (Kevin); his nephew Bill Perry (Sue); his brother-in-law Fred Ward; his close friend Linda Howell; his pets, Kissy Mae, Milo and Cooper; his caregivers, Angie Daniel, Laura Morris, Tammy Leonard, Deb Leonard, Brenda Short, Natachia Whitaker, Rochelle Wooten and Jessica Williams; and also, Barbara, Nancy, Claudia, Danny and Bruce Wayne. He is also survived by many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Harvest Baptist Church (2325 Old Mill Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27803). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
