It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen (Starnes) Arndt of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marvin Starnes and Ada Henri Poovey Starnes; her husband Elmer Ray Arndt; her son William Lewis Arndt; and her siblings, Violet Hartley, Carolene Watts, Margaret Lints, Sue Miller, Paul, Gene and Louie Starnes.
She is survived by: her son Allen Arndt (Connie) of Maiden; her siblings, Peggy McCorkle and Joe Starnes; and her grandsons, Benjamin Arndt (Andrea), William Arndt (Rakhi), Michael Arndt (Allison), Christopher Arndt (Laura), Mark Frasure (Jennifer), Brian Frasure (Carrie) and Matthew Frasure (Nicole).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Olivet Baptist Church building fund at 7893 Monbo Rd Catawba, NC.
