He was predeceased by : his wife Jean Boykin Fulghum; his parents, Willie Fulghum and Mattie Lee Fulghum; his brother Garland Fulghum; and his aunts, Lennie and Lealon Fulghum.

He is survived by : his children, Vivian Woodall (Woody) of Sims and Will Fulghum (Angie) of Wilson; his sister Margaret Clark of Rutherfordton; his grandchildren, Jason Woodall, Sallie Creech, Jonathan Woodall, Susan Sasser, Rachel Ballance and Kelsey Fulghum; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Woodall, Jake Creech, Seth Woodall, Jacey Creech, Sarah Woodall, Grant Woodall, Tenley Woodall, Stella Sasser, Zack Ballance, Connor Ballance and Scarlett Sasser.
