He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Wiggs, Sr. and Bridgette Williams Wiggs; his wife Elgie Allen Wiggs; and his siblings, James Wiggs, Jr., Charles Wiggs, Frank Wiggs and Hortense Wilkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Johnson (David) of Fayetteville and Angie High of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Bridgette Johnson Kotsubka (Adam) of Raleigh, Lewis Johnson III (Zahra) of Fayetteville and Stuart Johnson of Colorado; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Wiggs of Denton, TX and Norma Jackson of Clayton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 202 S 4th Street, Smithfield, NC.
