He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Pierce and Sadie Fields of Youngstown, Ohio.; his sister Roberta Strozier; and his close friends, Shirley Jean Lee and Emma Bojang.
He is survived by: his daughter Constance Lee Wood; his grandsons, Dewey Wood Jr. of Erwin and Demetrius Wood (Ashely) of Clayton; and his brother Ronald Pierce (Louie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends.
