She was predeceased by: her parents, Donnell Sanders Jr. and Ora Mae Sanders Glendlyn; and her brothers, Granger, Charles and Edward Sanders.

She is survived by: her aunts, Dorthea Davis Sanders of Elkton and Leola Robinson Sanders; and her close friends, Felicia Smith and Rosa Ann Williams of Smithfield, NC.
