He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Brooks Wood and Emma Reddick Wood; and his brother-in-law Thomas Ray Langdon. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Langdon Wood; his children, Emily Wood Long (Wyatt) of Goldsboro and Tyler Wood (Ashley) of Four Oaks; his granddaughters, Autumn Wood and Fern Wood; his brother Roger Wood (Jennifer); and his siblings-in-law, John "Jeff" Langdon of Pinkney and Wanda Langdon Williams (Tony) of Bentonville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (202 S 4th St, Smithfield, NC 27577). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at the Price Cemetery.
