He is survived by: his mother Irene Volkar; his sisters, Monica Proffitt (Kenny Proffitt) of Front Royal, VA and Loretta Yingling (Mark Yingling) of Garner, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Cooper Blake, Keelyn Phelan (Kiko Phelan), Lizzy Yingling and Abby Yingling.
Donations can be made in Joe's memory to Road 2 Recovery, a non-profit organization funded to help AMA licensed professional motocross/supercross and actions port athletes with financial assistance if they sustain debilitating injury as well as providing motivational, emotional, and spiritual support to these individuals and their families.
