With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mavis Marie Worley Young of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on July 29, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, David Worley and Luria Hartley Worley; her husbands, James Young and Alfred Eli Sexton; and her grandson Erik Wayne Blackmon.

She is survived by: her children, David Wayne Sexton (Linda) and Panis Braswell (Jerry); and her brother Ricky Worley. She is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
