It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sherrill Thompson of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Preston, Sr. and Pearlie Overbee Thompson; and his sisters, Claybourn Snipes, Gladys Mobley, Lissie Langdon, Beulah Peedin and Callie Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Thompson (Kathleen) of Selma and Leighanna Thompson (Worley) of Selma; his grandchildren, Jessica Worley (Nolan Kuesel), Preston Thompson and Michael Giggey; his great grandchild MacKenzie Giggey; and his siblings, Harold Thompson (Cathy) of Clayton and Connie Godwin of Pine Level.
Flowers are appreciated but in lieu of flowers the family would welcome donations for final expenses, c/o Jean Thompson.
