He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Layfette Nethercutt and Mary Lou Forrest Nethercutt; his wife Sylvia Cunningham Nethercutt; his stepgrandson David Jennings Dawson III; and his sister Kay Nethercutt Meadows.
He is survived by : his daughter Carla Nethercutt Dawson (David) of LaGrange; his grandson Robert David "Rob" Dawson; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Meadows of Eureka, Janice Cunningham Raper (Wayne) of Snow Hill and Annalean Cunningham Reeves (Edward) of Goldsboro.
