She was predeceased by : her parents, Henderson Austin Martin and Opal Ruth McCain Martin; her sons, Douglas Wade Smith and Wayne Smith; her brothers, Bill D. Martin, Danny Lee Martin and David Leon Hart; and her stepdaughter Jane Marie Rider.

She is survived by : her husband Dennis B. Rider; her sister Carol Martin Garris of Hookerton; and her stepson Dennis B. Rider, Jr. of New York.
