He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis L. Thomas and Sybil Joyner Thomas; and his brother Lewis Little "L. L.". He is survived by : his wife Sylvia Holland Thomas; his sons, Robert Thomas (T. Fore) of Raleigh and Craig Thomas (Dena McNair) of LaGrange; his sisters, Dorothy T. Harrison (Chester) of Snow Hill, Christy T. Letchworth (James) of Snow Hill and Martha Anne T. Goins of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Andrew Thomas, Ashley Fisher and Emma Thomas; and his sister-in-law Nancy Thomas of Smithfield.
