He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Dorsey Short, Sr. and Lucille Robertson Short; his wife Annie Laurie Tingen Short; and his son Gregory David Short. He is survived by: his daughter Allison Short of Southern Pines; his brother Gene Short of Henderson; and his grandchildren, Matthew Allen Hunsucker of Southern Pines and Lori Short Wilson of Rockingham. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
