With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carla LeAnn Wensil (Southern Pines, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Carla left this world on October 12, 2025 at the age of 28, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Carla may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her stepbrother Leroy Buddy Quick. She is survived by: her parents, Teresa Russell Wensil and Carl Lee Wensil, Jr. (Matt Schoemmell); her children, Carlos Christopher Lopez and Elaine Noel Schoemmell; her sisters, Angela Russell Viamontes (Turner) and Tina Hill; and her stepbrother Carl Pate. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home Chapel (425 W Pennsylvania Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Spring Hill Cemetery (20663 Arch McLean Rd, Wagram, NC 28396).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to help with burial expenses--any contributions would be genuinely appreciated.
