He is survived by: his wife Nancy Waite Sheffield of Granite Falls, NC; his brother Gardner Sheffield of Greensboro, NC; and his children, Casey Sheffield Vaughn (Luke) of Raeford, NC, Ashley Sheffield Phillips (Ken) of Seven Lakes, NC, Dannie C. "Trey" Sheffield, III (Michelle) of Jacksonville, NC and Jacob Sheffield (Beth) of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grand-children.
