He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Pierce Funderburk and Annie Suelee McManus Funderburk; and his siblings, Jason B. Funderburk, Annie Mildred Funderburk Tucker, Angie Funderburk Rhodes, Robert Lee Funderburk, Louise Funderburk Cameron, Sara Funderburk Hobson and James S. Funderburk. He is also survived by two daughters, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Blessing Bag Ministry at Southern Pines United Methodist Church.A memorial service will be held at the Southern Pines United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11:00 am, officiated by pastors Tommy Sweeney and Charles Albright.
