It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Juanita Matthews (Southern Pines, North Carolina), who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Weldon Black and Ollie Moore Guin (Richard Matthews); and her siblings, Doug, Bill Guin and Doris Fuquay.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Matthews; her children, Don Matthews (Kim), Larry Matthews (Elaine), Wayne Matthews (Mary Lou) and Karen M. Edmiston (Howard); and her sisters-in-law, Rheba Morrison and Martha DeSoto. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
