With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence Castles Snyder (Southern Pines, North Carolina), born in Starkville, Mississippi, who passed away on May 8, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister Sears Roebuck Craftsman; her parents, David Carson Castles and Martha Curtis; and her brother David Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Peter F. Snyder III (Barbara), Patricia Christman (John) and David Ellis Snyder (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Carson Snyder of Asheville, NC, Claire Hemming (Lee) of Cedar Point, NC, Kathryn Christman (Allen Brown) of Winston Salem, NC, Sarah Snyder Barron (Will) of Simpsonville, SC, David Shinn (Marcie) of Chattanooga, TN and Kathryn Shinn of Chattanooga, TN.; her great grandchildren, Liza Hemming, Ryder, Genesis Brown, Macy, Skyler and Noah Shinn; Frances.
A celebration of life is planned to be held in the Southern Pines Belle Meade Chapel after Covid restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the Snyder Memorial Fund at Brownson Presbyterian Church, 330 South May Street, Southern Pines, NC, 23837.
