With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jean Marie Higgins of Southern Pines, North Carolina, born in New York, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Bouchoux and Josephine LaPointe. She is survived by : her husband Paul Higgins; her son Dennis; her siblings, Carol Yost, Elaine Kimball (Susan) and Donald Bouchoux; and her grandsons, Ian and Collin Higgins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Belle Meade Chapel (100 Waters Dr, Southern Pines, NC 28387).

In recognition of her contributions to the industry, Jean was inducted into the Washington Design Center Designer Hall of Fame in 2005.
