He is survived by: his wife Barbara Aydelott Carpenter; his daughter Sarah Preston of Atlanta; his stepdaughter Suzanne McClure; his grandchildren, Emma, Haley McLaurin and Rowan Hennessey; his sister Linda Bennie of Naples; his nephews, Star Elton, Jay Sellers, Jody Sellers and Jenks Caldwell; Justin Kocan.
