It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ressie Mae Burks Bishop of Southern Pines, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Burks and Myrtle Burks; her husband Paul E. Bishop; and her siblings, Leroy Burks and Wilma Flack.
She is survived by: her children, Allen Bishop (Theresa), Susie Burns (Gary) and Paul Brent Bishop (Cathleen); her siblings, Bobby Burks and Bettie Horton; her grandchildren, Natalie, Dustin, Jessie, Shaun, Elizabeth, Rachel, Ariel, Isaac and Abby; and her great grandchildren, Eli, Adie, Lawson, Nolan, James Robert and Ryman Magnolia.
