It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Alvah Strickland of Southern Pines, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Strickland and Lorna Strickland (Throssel); his former wife Susan Seeley Strickland; and his sister Nancy LaFountain. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Robert Jr., Amy, Otis (Tomi), Ann (Morgan) and Nancy (Sean); his grandchildren, Shion, Riley, Lillian, Abigail and Addison; and his sister Peggy Adair. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (9800 US-15 #501, Pinehurst, NC 28374). A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bethesda Cemetery (1006 Bethesda Rd, Aberdeen, NC 28315).
