He is survived by : his children, William Arthur Sylvester (Jan) of Cary, NC, Anthony Roland Sylvester of Pittsboro, NC, Pamela Sylvester Kilpatrick (Mike) of Apex, NC and Margit Magyar Sylvester (Taylor Kenney) of Emerald Isle, NC; his grandchildren, Richard Sylvester (Jessica) of Fuquay Varina, NC, Kathryn Sylvester of Winston Salem, NC, William Kilpatrick of Apex, NC and Sarah Kilpatrick of Apex, NC; and his great grandchildren, Arlie, Isaac and Owen Sylvester.
