It is with great sadness that we announce the death of June M. Barnes (Southern Shores, North Carolina), born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on February 25, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband William R. Barnes; and her sister Gloria Ross. She is survived by : her children, Barbara Sherman (Rick), Myers Barnes (Lorena) and Scott Barnes; and her grandchildren, Greg Sherman, Allison Brown, Hunter Barnes, Tyler Harrison and Caroline Barnes. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to Dare Challenge or the Dare County Food Pantry.
