We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2025, at the age of 89, Roy Clayton Daniel Jr. of Southport, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roy Clayton has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Roy Clayton Daniel and Eunice Daniel Huntley. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Daniel; his children, Sam Watts (Ronda), Roy Daniel, III, David Watts and Hannah Daniel Jernigan (Dennis); and his grandchildren, Laney Watts and Ava Grace Jernigan.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Northwood Cemetery (711 E Longleaf Dr, Southport, NC 28461).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
