It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Birdie Royal (Sparta, North Carolina), who passed away on August 23, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Bobbitt and Guida Cox Bobbitt; her husband Beldon Clay Royal; her siblings, Carter Bobbitt, Clinton Bobbitt, Buddy Bobbitt and Janet Bobbitt; and her son-in-law Bobby Royal, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Betty Absher (Chris) of Traphill, Janet Royal of Sparta and Billy Royal; her grandson Bobby Royal, Jr. of Sparta; and her siblings, Yvonne Myers of King, Maxine Joyce of Winston-Salem and E. M. Bobbitt of Wilkesboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
