He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Milton Gay. He is survived by: his sons, Charles Raymond Cothren (Jackie) of Myrtle Beach and Glenn Maines Cothren of Asheville; his grandson Talen Cothren; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Gay of Pierson, Elaine Royall and Andy Royall of Roaring Gap. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and countless friends.
