He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Rae Hunt Cox; his son Danny Cox; his grandson Christopher Dean Fender; and his siblings, Jesse Cox and Georgia Hawkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Darlene Wilson (Donald) of Ennice and Arlene Love (Lee) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Crystal Billings (Gale) of Sparta and Tania Parks of Sparta; his great grandchildren, Ashley Billings and Sierra Parks; his close friend Charlie Bennett (Frances) of Glade Valley; and his sister-in-law Loraine Hunt of Sparta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
