He was predeceased by: his former wives, Betty E. Bledsoe and Karen A. Bledsoe; his half-brother Baxter Bledsoe; and his brother-in-law Dewey Davidson. He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Bledsoe Atwood (Gary) of Sparta; his sister Jane B. Davidson of Winston-Salem; his half-brother Byron Bledsoe (Betty) of Young's Harris, GA; his nephew Don Davidson (Sonia); his great-nephew Ryan; and his great-niece Brittany.
