It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Doughton Dillon (Sparta, North Carolina), who passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Pauline Turner Doughton and Claude Thomas Doughton; her husband James Dillon (Jim); her son Michael Edward Dillon; and her siblings, JonLee Bryant and Claude Thomas "Tom" Doughton, Jr..
She is survived by : her sister Becca; her daughter Mary Margaret (Jorge Obando); her grandsons, Harrison and Nicholas of Raleigh; her son James Patrick (Hallie); her granddaughter Adeline Elizabeth; her sister Rebecca Rumsey of Raleigh; her siblings-in-law, Gayle Doughton, Hallman Bryant and Dennis Dillon; and also Thanksgiving. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, the family will have a private graveside service and burial on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Laurel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Father Cory Catron officiating.
