She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Jack Johnson and Alma Dickens Johnson; her husband Chester Carpenter; and her siblings, Otis Johnson, Bill Johnson and Lorene Brooks.
She is survived by : her daughter Barbara JoAnn Carpenter Talley of Rockwell, NC; her grandchildren, Shannon Talley (Connie) of Salisbury, NC, Wayne Talley (Brandy) of Salisbury, NC and Michelle Broome (Lonnie) of Rockwell, NC; her great grandchildren, Kayla Talley, Ty Talley, Deven Talley, Madden Talley, Madison Broome, Faith Talley, Khloe Broome, Mason Talley and Ella Broome; her siblings, Robert Mack Johnson (Treva) of Cana, VA and Eva Sue Crouse of Ennice, NC; and her sister-in-law Imogene Johnson of Sparta, NC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
