He was predeceased by: his father Ardell Hawkins; and his brother Harold Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Elva Hawkins; his daughter Joy Maines (Franklin Phipps) of Sparta; his stepson Joseph Kennedy (Lori) of Independence, VA; his grandchildren, Hayden Maines, Alyssia Maines and Ryan Kennedy; and his sister Opal Alley (Bobby) of Summerfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
