She was predeceased by: her parents, George Day and Kathleen Miller Day; her daughter Jennifer Carpenter; her brother Waiter Day; and her close friend Cyndi Seagle.
She is survived by: her husband George Beasley of Independence, VA; her children, Rebecca Nelson (Daniel) of Sparta and Robert Goss of Spruce Pine; her siblings, Brenda Hoover Male of Maryland, Mary Perry of Maryland and Johnny Day of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Tyler Nelson, Alexis Nelson, Dylan Nelson, Kathrine Oquinn, Samatha Oquinn and Kari Greer; her great grandchildren, Bentley Street and Dawson Nelson; and her close friends, Laurie McElyea Ford, Kim, Steve Jones, John Meachum and Marion Palacio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
