It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michel Carter (Sparta, North Carolina), who passed away on June 21, 2019, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eliga Carter and Treva Simpson Carter; his brothers, Marvin Carter and Jackie Carter; his nephew Monroe Gambill; and his mother-in-law Mary Francis McMillan.
He is survived by: his sons, Marcus Carter of Greensboro and Michael Carter (Crystal Love) of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Christopher McCullough, Nicholas Roberts, Jaylin Carter, Jada Carter and Khalil Love-Jones; the mother of his children Catherine Carter of Greensboro; his sisters, Charlotte Gaither of Winston-Salem, Charity Gambill-Gwyn (Douglas) of Sparta, Katie Carter of Kernersville and Peggy Allen of Kernersville; his nieces and nephews, Teresa, Stacey, Trina, Robin, Aja, Tia, Clarissa, Analisa, Ricky and Marvin; and also, Bill Irwin and John Alford. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
