She is survived by: her husband Owen Thomas; her siblings, Clyde Dawson and Dora Newman; her daughter Sylvia Whaley (Thomas); her grandchildren, Thomas Edward Mills and Lola Marie McDaniels; her great grandchild Owen Gabriel Mills; and her brother Nathan Dawson (Evelyn) of Goldsboro, NC..
