With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Petty (Sparta, North Carolina), who passed away on July 15, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Everette and Minnie Carmon Crouse Petty; his stepson Kenny "Keno" Jones; his siblings, Vaughn Petty, Wayne Petty, Boyden Petty and Linda Wilson; and his son-in-law Billy Goodman.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Lee Petty (Yolanda) of Greensboro, Gary Thomas Petty (Lisa) of Indian Trail and Robin Petty Goodman of Kernersville; his stepson James "Jimmy" Jones (Michelle) of Gastonia; his grandchildren, Joshua Petty (Tracey), Mikayla Petty, Benjamin Fields (Jessica), Justin Petty, Stephanie Faircloth (Shawn), Brittney Cates (Chris) and Daniel Jones; his great grandchildren, Austin, Aubrey, Alex, Lorelei, Chandler, Ian, Raylyn, Cameron, Destany, Ayden and Braylen; and his sisters, Juanita Irwin of Sparta and Wanda Rector of Greensboro.
