He was predeceased by: his brother Gary Hampton. He is survived by: his children, Brandy Greene (Tim) of Lenoir and Terry Hale of Boone; his father Lewis Hampton of Sparta; his brothers, William Hampton and Robert Hampton (Becky) of Newton; and his close friend Andy Harris of Sparta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
