He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hudson and Doris Wagoner Hudson; his wife Kathleen Hudson; his sister Joyce Dancy; his parents-in-law, Charles and Thursey Funk; and his sister-in-law Betty (Robert Leonard).
He is survived by: his daughters, Delores, Hudson Bedsaul (Scott) of Galax, VA and Lora "Lynn" Creed (Paul) of Ennice; his granddaughter Kaila Bedsaul of Galax, VA; his stepgrandchildren, Brandi Creed, Benjamin Creed and Amber Creed; his siblings, Margaret Cox (Garnett) of Richmond, VA, Donnie Hudson (Joyce) of Ennice and Floyd Hudson of Mt. Airy; his brother-in-law Ricky Dancy (Jan) of Sparta; and his close friend Mary Nilo. He is also survived by five step-great-grandchildren.
