He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Galyen and Ina Jean Spurlin Galyen. He is survived by: his wife Lois Galyen; his children, Derrick Galyen of Ennice and Kristy; his son-in-law John Viars of Austinville, VA; his grandchildren, Connor Viars, Cody Viars, Emma Viars and Solomon Viars; and his brothers, Ronnie Galyen (Debbie) of Ennice and Phil Galyen of Ennice. He is also survived by his extended family in Maryland; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
