It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Sturgill (Sparta, North Carolina), who passed away on June 2, 2018, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Darla Sturgill; his stepchildren, Holly Savage (Chris) of Glade Valley and Sam McClure (Hope) of Glade Valley; his stepgrandchildren, Zach Savage, Austin Savage, Emily McClure and Brice McClure; his parents, Wade Sturgill of Sparta and Virginia Sturgill of Sparta; his sisters, Judy Caudill (Stacy) of Sparta, Janet Edwards (Rick) of Elk Creek, VA and Susan Joines of Sparta; his father-in-law Elder Gib Lyon of Glade Valley; his siblings-in-law, Greg Lyon (Karen) of Ennice and Debby Edwards (Ronald Jack) of Sparta; and his close friends, Gary Scott, Gay Scott and CarQuest. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
