He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvie Hamm and Edna Caudill Hamm; and his siblings, Robert Hamm, Faye Wagner, Betty Mae Wood, Ann Cox and Irene Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Hamm; his sons, George Hamm (Sandy) of Sparta and Mike Hamm (April) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Brandi Hamm (Adam Ring), Casey Norman (Kevin) of Sparta, Jimmy Hamm (Kathleen) of Mooresville, Daniel Caudill (Lacey Canter) and Rachel Caudill of Raleigh; and his siblings, Welter Hamm of Sparta, Charlie Hamm of Sparta and Ethel Francis. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
