It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannette Mayes (Spencer, North Carolina), who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her spouse Gilmer Mayes; her son Clyde Kenneth Mayes; her parents, Bessie Long and Charles L. Long; and her brothers, Roy E. Long (Martha), Bill I. Long (Bobbie), Charles L. Long, Jr., Phant A. Long (Betty) and Dean Long (Ruby).

She is survived by : her brother Ned Long (Pat); her sister-in-law Lucy Long; and also Jim Harris. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
