It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Blackwell Laney of Spencer, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Blackwell and Maggie Luckey. She is survived by : her husband Bobby G. Laney; her daughters, Dianne Rustin (O. W. Jr.) of Salisbury, Shelia Stokes of Salisbury and Pamela "Pam" Love (Medgar) of Spencer; and her grandchildren, LaTonya Rustin of Salisbury, Vanita Rustin of Charlotte, Sue Lin Stokes of Salisbury and Bryce Stokes of Salisbury. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
