He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Poole Ore; his parents, Clyde Ore and Primmie Merritt Ore; and his brothers, Elbert Ore and Leonard Ore.

He is survived by: his children, Janice Bradford (Skip) of Randleman, Brian Presnell (Jamie) of Ramseur and Ricky Ore of Liberty; his siblings, Louise Pickard of Liberty, Bobbie Gaines of Goldston, Edna Hales of Greensboro, Betty Caviness (Paul) of Staley, Jimmy Ore of Staley and Tim Ore of Snow Camp; his grandson Josh Sheffield; and his pet Tucker. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
