He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruth Helen of Washington and Henry Lloyd Simmons; and his brothers, Ray Simmons, Darry Simmons and Forman Earl Simmons.

He is survived by : his daughter Sheron Bryant (Nikki); his grandson Khamair Bryant; his sister Lydia Turner (David); his sisters-in-law, Georgia Ann Simmons and Linda Simmons; his nieces, Kennethra Bell and Christin Turner; his nephew Forman Earl Simmons; his great-nephew Geoffery Bell; and also Maecy Bell.
